upwards or pointing downwards. I know that with the hatch closed, the subwoofer would use the entire hatch area to enhance the base effect. But, with the JL Audio Stealth Box, it is only open air at the bottom so the sound would immediately bounce off a wall instead of being out in the free air. I don't know, do you stereo gurus understand what I am trying to get at? For instance, with my previous installation and two Bazooka tubes, the bass sounded a lot better with the hatch closed than open. I would assume this principle would be the same with Chris' box vs. the JL box.
